The path from electrician's mate to AI operator wasn't a pivot. It was a slow, deliberate rebuild.
I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard right out of high school. Five years as an electrician (EM3). Deployments to Guam and Hawaii. I learned how systems fail and how patient people fix them.
Then I sustained a nerve injury. The kind that doesn't show up on an X-ray but changes everything. The recovery took four years — Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wim Hof breathing, cold exposure, biblical health principles. Slow, unglamorous, daily.
That became the foundation for everything that came after.
